A detailed examination of the natural lens is done under a specialised slit-lamp bio microscope and if there is opacification (cataract), the cataract is graded as per international standards. Then the patient is guided based on their daily requirements and the guidance can be in the form of spectacle correction with frequent follow ups or surgery.
